Another movie sextant

I spotted this one last night in a recent movie (released only a few months ago). As you can see, this "diabolical pirate above the sea" owns a sextant but it's mostly for show --he's using it one-handed. There are sufficient clues here to identify this opus, this masterpiece of cinema, but I won't give it away just yet.

Would you call that a “crow’s nest” or a “top”, and would it be the nest place to take a sight? You’d get a better view of the horizon, but the “dip” correction would be greater. Also, you’d be moving around more than on the quarter deck. The only time I was required to climb a mast, I was too busy hanging on with both hands to have attempted celestial sights, and these days, if I remembered what I’d gone up there for, I’d have forgotten the reading by the time I got down.
