Now that it's been proven that that photo is NOT Earhart I wonder if the History Channel with cancel the other episodes of the show since the Sunday FUBAR was just to be the beginning episode.

The latest photo has apparently been debunked:

Here is the statement I was looking for, within that link:
"... the main opinion I have
formed is that, due to well known limitations in the methods of navigation being used, it is most
likely that the plane ditched to the north of the destination, Howland island."
Intuitively, that makes the most sense. There are thousands of square miles of empty ocean in that area and Howland Island is only 1.7 square miles. A tiny dot in the vast ocean. So yes, I tend to agree, they ditched in the ocean.
As we have seen with other more determined searches for much larger aircraft in an ocean (MH370), finding such a vehicle is extremely difficult. To attempt to find Amelia's tiny aircraft, in an even larger ocean, is a fool's errand.

Over the years, I have seen you (properly) debunk one far fetched theory after another. You have obviously given a tremendous amount of thought to this topic.I haven't yet seen your estimate of what *did* happen. I don't even want to suggest a scintilla, I would prefer to hear your idea, unencumbered by anything I might say. If at all possible, a few paragraphs would be all that I am looking for. What do you think happened???Brad=====================================================That's easy, see:and:And see all the other navigation information on my website at:gl
