Could you post some pictures of the sextant and of the bubble chamber? I own 8 different types of bubble sextants, and have rebuilt ones from my A10-A and Link A-12; I am currently working on a chamber from my A8-A.
Is there any fluid showing at all? It can be tough to tell, especially when the chamber lenses get schmutz built up on them due to age. If you can, send a picture of the control knob for the bubble chamber; I might be able to see if it is an air or vapor type.
