Bill S ,
Most sextants have a micrometer drum set screw on the end of the drum which connects the drum to the worm gear shaft. My best guess on the Astra from the YouTube video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJyDDbQXBE4) is that there is a cap or cover over the set screw on the end of the micrometer drum. If this is the case then 1. Align the index arm mark to any whole degree 2. Loosen micrometer drum set screw 3. Rotate the micrometer drum to the zero mark and tighten but not too tight since there are plastic parts involved. Check your manual to see if there is a parts diagram. Good luck.
