A new release of Navigational
Algorithms free software is available at my Website. CelestialFix
includes Summner and Marcq solution, and more algorithms like Kaplan’s, Metcalf’s,
and complex solution by Robin Stuart. Route Planner includes a
GPX output for GC sailing.
Also includes the new application Astronavigation by Lunar Distance
that solves the following:
- Nautical almanac:
geocentric lunar distance and daily LD table
- Time and position
- Fix by two LD
- Reduction of the
observations to the same time
For those unfamiliar with this method or for those
who want to refresh their knowledge a very good starting point to learn this
