Hello all,
I recently became aware of another free booklet from the US Naval Obsertivery called Astronomical Phenomena.
Download as a pdf document - lots of information. It is published by year starting in 2015. I have 2016 and 2017. The best thing for me was a two page table of the sun's declination and the equation of time for each day of the year. I printed out the two pages onto one sheet of paper and now have a quick and dirty solar almanac for 2016 ( and 2017 ). Put it in your sextant box with the Ix haversign tables and yo have a small, emergency kit.
Also in the small booklet ( 95 pages ) is information on the transit of Mercury, the occultion of the Moon and different stars, times of planet transits. etc. All in all a handy ( free ) download from the USNO
