Az, Z, Zc and Zn - which one is what? How to use them properly?

Hello!
There is a rather long list of names for what I think relates to an azimuth: the Az, Z, Zc and Zn. How to use them properly? Where to read the rock-solid and definitive explanation of each of them? I guess the c in the angle name means it is the just-calculated value - same as with the Hc, but what the n or the lack of a letter is for?
I ask this because in many places I read about the Zn as if it were not the true azimuth of a G.P. measured clockwise from the North but some other directional angle, often needing some further conversions.
Could you please comment?
