This site contains an interesting collection of documents from a USAAF B-24 bombing mission to Germany in March 1945. (Some of the navigation "flimsies" are from a different mission.) The Mühldorf mission seems to have gone like clockwork, with ETAs attained within a minute or two. There were no fighter attacks and no losses. However, a significant challenge was self-generated: smoke obscuration of the target due to preceding bomb drops. Some formations circled back and made a second run. http://www.angelfire.com/wv/liberator/
