This site displays planning materials, charts, and the flight log for a 1969 B-52 flight returning home to Fairchild AFB (Wash.) from Andersen AFB (Guam). It was about a 12-hour flight, cruising at .77 Mach / 440 knots. There's a good view of the SAC celestial precomputation form, though most of the boxes are unused. Apparently all did not go well. On one of the forms the navigator wrote an expression of dismay. The color photos of the navigator station are not from 1969, since they show the digital system that didn't come in until the early 80s. And the handwritten notations have the left and right sides reversed. http://propspistonsandoldairliners.blogspot.com/2011/06/b-52d-drab-69-redeployment-navigator.html -- Paul Hirose sofajpl.com
