Re: BBC: 100th anniversary of the Greenwich Time Signal - the 'pips'

The WWV ticks from my WiNRADIO Excalibur receiver are about 1/4 second
behind my cheap Tecsun portable. That's the delay in the signal
processing pipeline. The Excalibur hardware is basically an analog to
digital converter. It plugs into a USB port on your computer, where the
    receiver is digitally implemented.

The ticks from WWV (303 499 7111) and the USNO (719 567 6742) are also
delayed about 1/4 second as heard in my phone. On the other hand, the
digital clocks on this page are dead accurate as best I can judge by eye
    and ear.

The Tecsun receiver is my only absolutely trustworthy source of time
    ticks with no perceptible delay.
