But, the normal sight takes two minutes so a three minute interval would allow only one minute to read the sextant, preset the sextant, crank in the azimuth into the sextant mount! It taakes quite a bit of time cranking in the azimuth. I don't see this as being possible, it's a race with the four minute shot spacing which allows two minutes to get this done.
