OK...no electronics.  So that makes this post off-thread.  But let me say that I have just discovered a superb source for Faraday cages:  metal green tea boxes from China. 

My wife just got a gift of a number of different kinds of green tea, all in really classy metal boxes, ranging in size from something cube-shaped you could store two or three quartz pocket watches in, up to a larger, rectangular box that you could store a cellphone/GPS (plus a quartz watch or two) in.  You will get some of the small bubble wrap material both to keep your electronics from banging around inside the box, and also to provide that essential layer of insulation betwee your electronics and the metal of the cage.

We have an enormous Chinese grocery store near our house, so there is a never-ending supply of these kinds of boxes available.  The caffeine content of a cup of green tea is about the same as that of a cup of coffee...so I just told myself that I could learn to love the taste.  A little while later, I hae a Faraday cage just the right size to keep my items and small enough to travel in my carryon luggage.
