The Casio has a pretty useful "degree, minute, second" key useful for entries in that form and easy conversions.

    Murray,

CASIO FX-82 solar is the European model of the CASIO FX-260.

Personally I like more the Texas Instruments TI-30XS multiview (also solar)

It cost a little more about €25, but has many practical advantages.

Natural input: Type SIN (value) and not as on the CASIOS (value) SIN.

So you type the formula as listed on paper.

Multiview: 4 lines of earlier info/answers visible in the display and you can

scroll upwards to 30 lines or so. You can select one earlier result select it and use

it in new calculations. This saves time and errors of retyping earlier answers.

7 memorypositions:· compared with 1 in the CASIO.  TI memorys keep the info

also after switching off the unit.

So I find the TI-30XS much more usefull, but I am biased on TI calculators

from the first TI-SR50 on the High School in 1975 where I studied Electronics

to the TI-89 with the Starpilot program that solves everyday Celestial problems.

    Regards

    HermanD
