I suspect what you found were the original Ageton (H.O. 211) U.S. Navy Department Hydrographic Office book , with a black hard cover (or possibly the Fairwinds Maritime Press reprint, with a light blue soft cover). They are readily available and inexpensive. What Robert is looking for is the Compact Sight Reduction Table (Modified H.O. 211, Ageton's Table) by Allan Bayless, either the first edition (rusty red soft cover) or the second edition (dark blue soft cover). These have ridiculous prices for a 32-page (first edition, a few more for the second edition) book.
