Yes, ebay continues to be a good place to find good, used sextants. But there are lots of fake sextants. If you're a complete beginner, look for a Davis Mark 15 for $100 or less. Many are available in near new condition.
You should also consider waiting to buy. Many beginners make the mistake of thinking that learning celestial begins with buying a sextant. Learning to use a sextant and take sights is about 20% of the process.
