I use my iphone. My voice memo app works in the background once you turn it on. I then use a UTC time app set to night mode. I take the sight, mark, look at the time and say it along with the sextant reading. I hold the phone in the hand that adjusts the sextant. When I finish my run I just play it while back transcribing it. It also would be easy enough to rig up a wrist mount for the inside of your wrist.
