Apparently NPL, the British standards organization, and Dstl, a British defense lab, will be hosting a press event on quantum inertial sensors for navigation tomorrow. New Scientist has a summary:

It would be really nice to have inertial sensors of this class in a cellphone. GNSS would be needed only a few times a day to touch up the solution.
