Hello Dennis,
Inman (1826) give a method of calculation of latitude by double altitude with versine/haversine formulas (1821), by derivation of the method of Duillier. Once the latitude calculated, you'll find the apparent time by sinus formula.
I know a diagram for calculate ZD and azimut : "abaque Favé & Rollet de Lisle" in France, but, in my opinion, not very accurate. This diagram is based of the same principes that Ageton tables (slitting the triangle of position in two right angled formula).
