Attached are three photographs of pages from Chapter IV 'The Booth Bubble Horizon' of the 1939 version, 1949, reprint of AurthurJ Hughes 'The Sextant Book. The spherical rooved bubble cylinder was first suggested by Louis Fave in France in 1906 but the idea was patented in the UK Lionel Barton Booth and William Sidney Smith of the RAE in 1919. DaveP
