    David,

    Glad to see that we agree that the correct constant in the formula when the height of the eye of the observer is in meters should be 2.12. Bowditch however has 2.07. The only way that I can get a value of 2.07 is to assume that the conversion from meters to feet was made by multiplying hm by pi!
