Try using the attached calculator for distance by vertical angle. Remember that dip for the 8ft height of eye needs to be applied to the angle before entering the calculator.
The azimuth you gave is for the Sun. From there you will need to add 2.6° to get the bearing of the mountain peak as seen the attached image. The Sun's diameter is used as the yard stick.
