    "Bris" calibration: to Hc vs to Hs. Accuracy?

    Hello!

    After Greg's comment on possibility to calibrate a "bris" to HS rather than to HC - I wonder which "bris" would be more accurate?

    When doing the HC calibration (as I understand it) one sits on the same spot so that the HoE and - hopefully - the refraction conditions are nearly constant, he just notices the UT of all the "events". Then the known Lat/Lon and UT/Dec/GHASun records are used to obtain the relevant HC values - which are assigned to each reflection accordingly.

    Doing the HS calibration (as I understand it!) requires to complete the HC calibration process first, and then apply negative (inversed sign of) corrections for HoE - and only then label the reflections with amended values of angles.

    Obviously, HC-calibrated "bris" is accurate if used in the same conditions it was calibrated in. While the HS-calibrated "bris" is more versatile but requires more SR work to obtain a LoP.

    Which would you prefer?
