Good afternoon I would like to ask if anyone has any experience using a bris sextant underway using it for two sights on the Sun to determine to determine Lat and long. My specific question is if you are underway how do you allow for the distance traveled. With a normal sextant you would use the sailings to figure your offset in latitude and adjust your angle for HS accordingly since the bris sextant is fixed this is not an option.
Any help that could be offered in this would be greatly appreciated
