Hello,
It has been very interesting following your discussions on these different long-hand and graphical methods for celnav. My personal interest is in all non-electronic navigation methods, even though when sailing on my yacht I do rely on GPS and everything else for safety. Anyway I thought about giving this Brown-Nassau slide rule a try. The American Mathematicl Monthly paper was very useful. Attached is a first version of the line diagram as a PDF file (hopefully the attachment comes through), it should match the one in the paper. I made a program that generates these, so all kinds of fine tuning should be fairly easy now.
