Sam,
The BN is not for plotting azimuths and inercepts but for performing rapid sight reduction while in flight on small aircraft.
The LHA and assumed latituded intersection is plotted on the BN base then the calculated altitude is picked off the template after setting it to declination.

Would someone please explain to me what a plotter is for?
Can they be used to easily layout an intercept on a UPS?
