That is a very intersting idea. I see the intuitive feel arguement, but it would presumably be less accurate unless expanded to twice the size?
I will try to build a definitve model close to the design shown in Luykx and the model in the SI.
Looking at your double rotor, are the Verniers going the correct way? The top one looks like side B and Y on the SI.I think the verniers go the other way?
Anyways, fantastic work. If you have time later, I would appreciate new full quadrants with the Verniers and other additions (eg Declination, Altitude and extra numbers just like the SI model. I would like to build as close a replica as possible to the SI model.
this would give me a replica, although slightly smaller than the SI, but one I can make with standard A4 printer.
Eventually, if that works, I may consider building a full sized (10 inch radius) version. Presumbably I would need to use an A3 printer at the local print shop. How difficult to produce your graphs for full size (A3) printing?
