    Mr. Ojanen:

I am also interested in building one of these.  It seems to me that to make it readable with more precision two things might be helpful:

    A)  On the dot grid have most of the dots be red except the 5° dots in blue, then all the dots can be the smaller font but you can still tell them apart.  Then the rotor grids would need to go back to black.

    B)  On the rotor grids have half-weight hash marks across the vertical lines at 20', 15' or 12' intervals to make it easier to interpolate down to 2'-3' precision.  Decreasing the 5° lines from triple-weight to double-weight would probably distinguish them adequately from the 1° lines and increase precision of reading near these lines.

    What do you think?

Would you be willing to part with the plotting files?  I don't think I know the programs you are using and am not interested in learning another language/system/whatever but I have enough friends that probably know the systems you used I could get one of them to make the changes.

    Thanks

    Bob II
