After the ball's fallen out, you can flick most of the alcohol out. The remainder will evapotate away very quickly. Is that entropy; the desire to get back to a more dilute less useful state? I suppose so; like pouring a kettleful of boiling water into a bath of cold water; same total energy but less useful once achieved. Before the white spirit, I was using bio-ethanol. That disappeared OK. Look after that ball bearing. DaveP
