Dear George, Thank you for sharing your sad experience with e-bay. You bet, I am also shopping for a good vernier sextant. I have seen few of them in the shops in Europe, but they are MUCH more expensive than on e-bay. (Roughly TWICE as expensive for the same quality). But if I were closer to NY or London or Amsterdam, I would probably buy from a shop. My previous experience with e-bay was also mixed. Alex.
