Gary Lapook asked: "BTW, does anybody know what ever became of Captain Bygrave after he invented the slide rule?" Apparently, he worked for the rest of his life in the R.A.E. devising various analog computers for navigation and also military functions like bombing. He was killed in a "riding accident" in 1936. -FER --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Navigation List archive: www.fer3.com/arc To post, email NavList@fer3.com To , email NavList-@fer3.com -~----------~----~----~----~------~----~------~--~---
