I thought that this AH was interesting and perhaps answers some burning questions.
The fixed sides and glasses seem better than the kit of plastic parts that I have.
The separate “bowl” can be filled and not disturbed while the cover is placed over it.
The bowl, of Mercury, seems pretty shallow. Good information if you’re wondering how deep the Mercury needs to be.
A shallow bowl seems like sort of a delicate system when you are ready to pick it up and pour the Mercury back in the flask.
I see what looks like a “spout” hole in the rear left side of the bowl and a gap in the surrounding metal at that corner but it seems like a big funnel into the flask would help.
Pity, no details on the flask.
