Trials with the camera FAR did not go as well as expected. Finding the vertical with the FAR Sun reflection high of the horizon just wasn't getting it done. A retro Bris using three square pieces similar to the original product does allow for finding the vertical because of the numerous reflected images all in a vertical line. There is also always a reflection of the Sun near the horizon for rocking purpose. To make one all that needed doing was to gap, shim, and stack two more glass squares on top of the existing camera FAR (see image links). Attached are yesterday's trials with the C.FAR showing a large calibration spread.
Sometimes it is back to the drawing board. The good news is that the C.Bris prototype is finished and ready for a test.
