This morning the C&P was broken out of the sextant box for Sun observations and well...the sextant was broken:( The micrometer drum thumb trigger had broken (plastic). This break was just old age I think. The fix was to cut and drill 3/16" aluminum plate to match the the original thumb trigger. A few hours and good as new.
