Art, unfortunately, I have no idea how to get a picture of what seems to me to be an alignment issue. It may not be a problem at all. I have determined that the two arms that attach the bubble and the regular telescope to the frame are of different lengths ~3mm. Pictures attached. C&P asked me just to send it to the Kompass Haus in Bremerhaven for repair. (I love these German professionals.)
Greg: I have a lovely Astra IIB, my fist sextant, that has the same telescope mounting bracket configuration as the C&P Horizon. I can mount the C&P bubble onto the Astra IIB, but I cannot figure out how to incorporate the battery pack (for the necessary bubble illumination). Would you please tell me how you did it with the Astra Professional? Or does the Astra III Professional have the correct kind of battery assembly?
