Hello,
I have one which is pale green. I have looked for this sextant (actually an octant, as it measures only up to 90 degrees) on the internet, and found several mentioned, some without number, some without colour. For 14, I can list the number and colour. The first four are green (lowest. SN: 152, highest SN 363), then there is your nr. 480 (orange/red), and then there are eight dark blue ones (lowest SN 728, highest SN 990). It is clear that the colour changed at least once, but possibly twice, with early ones green, intermediate ones orange, and later ones blue. I think I saw another red one on a photograph, but without a distinguishable serial number.
