As I described in a message in mid-January:
"The whaleship Charles W. Morgan, centerpiece of the collection at Mystic Seaport Museum in Mystic, Connecticut, launched in 1841, will be making a goodwill and publicity tour of southern New England from late May through early August of this year. This is the first time that the vessel has travelled more than a quarter mile from its berth at Mystic Seaport since it arrived there in November of 1941."
I didn't mention back then that I had applied for one of the day-and-a-night openings for "creative projects" on the voyage. I had put together a proposal at the last minute and thought it was really a long shot. But I got lucky, so I will be one of the "Voyagers" on the "38th Voyage" at some point this summer working on some celestial navigation project(s). I get to go as a volunteer. They also have a paying passenger option...
...you don't want to ask.
