Based on past experiences with dead electronics at sea, I cheer you on. I wish I knew how to use my fathers old log-log slide rule, for sentimental reasons as much as anything... Its on my list of things I want to do........Of course i could carry four little solar calculators in a ziploc bag too...that would weigh ounces..... and at least one will probobly work at any given time...
I would say that traveling light for celestial, I fell in love with HO208. Even a comparitive celestial dummy like me got right answers first time out of the garage... I could carry probobly ten copies of my old 1930 ish copy vs a single volume of 229. It lays right in with my little orange hardcover almanac in my oversized sextant box.
