Attached shows GP (geographic position) plotted on a radar plotting sheet. An approximate starting assumed position can be found using 90° - Ho as the zenith distance. The zenith distance becomes the circle of position radius which is plotted from the GP as a partial circle of position just as Frank does using a globe. For Ron's example I get 47° N 128° W which isn't too far from the Puget Sound. one sight reduction iteration should get the navigator onto a standard plotting sheet for a final sight reduction plot.
