I just received the red board from Crowd Supply. In spite of fat fingers and poor eyesight, the board transplant worked OK. I implemented a prototype version of Bill's Freeze idea. It's basic but seems to work OK, although I think there may be a second delay between pressing the Alarm button and the frozen time display. It could do with a screen banner, and maybe logging of the last few presses...
I'm happy to share the code if anyone wants to try it.
