I could not find neither Casio FX-300ES nor Casio FX-260, so I had to resort with Casio FX-85ES Plus.
Few observations so far:
- with its' LR44 battery removed it needs a very significant source of light to operate on solar battery alone (a common twilight is not enough, one will need a torch-light shining directly on the calculator to be able to use it and not loose the intermediary results)
- according to FX-300es/FX-85ES documentation - this family seems to not have neither binary, nor octal or hexadecimal modes (which I expected to see on a scienttific calculator), luckily they are not necessary for trigonometrics of navigation
- since MathLab on a PC this is my first experience with a calculator with "what you see is what you get" user interface - VERY impressed! :)
