I too noticed this while deep in thought one day, gazing at the cover of the Celestaire catalogue. However, I believe the star is also supposed be in line with the "i" - somewhat representing the "title" or superscript dot which is usually atop a lowercase "i" (even though the logo appears to be in all uppercase letters). In that case, the index arm should probably be extended forward to some value beyond 90° to make the logo more "accurate". However, the choice to put the index arm where it is was probably made to make the logo more asthetically pleasing. Given the relatively small chance that anyone would notice - and the even smaller chance that anyone would point it out if they did (as evidenced by the lack of comments about it until now), I would say the designer made the right choice.

It still slightly annoys me, though. ;)
