Although we've gone off from Frank's original intent (seemingly anachronistic use of the term "black box"- Wikipedia author posits it to be 1945 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_box slide rule's an interesting example. I hereby declare the slide rule as a black box if you do not understand logarithms. Right? (don't answer that)
