Hello everyone,
I just want to share with the group that after several months of study and practice, I passed the US Sailing Association celestial navigation test. Therefore, I am now a certified celestial navigation instructor. I am very proud of this achievement !
For those who do not know, US sailing is the governing body for the sport of sailing, similar to what the NBA is for basketball or the NFL for football.
Although I do not have plans to become a full-time instructor, my first “assignment” would be a demonstration to the US Air Force reserve cadets from the Homestead Air Force base in Miami.
Also, in February I will be one of the speakers at the winter star party in the Florida Keys:

The party is open to any amateur astronomer in the world, so you are welcome to come and spend a good and warm time in the Florida Keys. Plenty of dark and clear skies.
