The Kriegsmarine did use the Enigma, although they extended the amount of rotors to select from to eight - as opposed to the Wehrmacht version which initially had three and then five to choose from. Later, Dönitz insisted the rotors used in the enigma be increased from three to four.
This is off-topic for NavList, but there is more info on the Enigma at Dirk Rijmenants site. He aslo has an Enigma simulator which you can download and it can even be used to decipher actual German messages from the war. (If you can guess the settings for the machine.)
