A gyrocompass will work on Mars and any other planet with significant daily rotation.
The SHA for the stars will be the same as previously mentioned.
Mars needs it's own almanac, not a translation from earth, unless you are trying to use earth clock and calendar which would be a needless complication. Almanac should use a Mars clock (decimal for preference) and a Mars calendar. AFter that the process is the same as on earth, keep as much the same and is minimizes errors.
