RAR is an archive format like zip. I don’t think Windows ships with a way to un-archive them. I use 7-Zip, which is free and opens zip, rar and other formats:

Stan, Thank you for your efforts in creating this. Not being techno-savvy, can you tell me if the RAR will open on a standard Windows OS? I got and error message saying something like "no-can-do", or to that effect.
