One more suggestion-how about an historical review of all the instruments used through the ages to position oneself at sea?
Astrolabs, Back staffs, Cross Staffs, Kamals, Quadrants, Octants, Sextants, Compasses, Chronometers, Nocturnals, Ring Dials............,,,,,,,...........GPS
