An unremarkable spot in the desert of the United Arab Emirates should get some attention from us Saturday morning. There's a huge oasis arc called "Liwa" deep in the southern desert, and Saturday a key celestial navigation point will land only a few dozen miles from that vast semi-circular "tap" on the aquifer at the edge of the Empty Quarter. Go look for it in something like Google Earth or Google Maps "satellite view" --it's striking.
Get it? What happens Saturday between 0800 and 0900 UT? And where and when exactly does that occur??
