I do not have a copy of Duttons Nautical Astronomy but for this particular case, I think the equation is t = TxGSO / (GSB + GSO). One has to be careful about knowing if you are starting out with a head wind or a tail wind. For our problem, we had a head wind. If you start out with a tail wind, then the equation becomes t = TxGSB / (GSB + GSO)
