Thank you to all who provided answers through private email!
The winning answer (for me) was the Bowditch Log Trig tables. Very compact and easy to use.
I have updated my app to create these tables and demonstrate their use to clear the lunar distance using the Borda method.
If anyone would like to play with my latest creation and you have an iPad (sorry iPad only), send me a private email response and I will get you going with a beta version.
